at the Grade 8 Graduation? Is your principal retiring? Are parents

Whether you are new to using
Microsoft PowerPoint or a seasoned user, TechnoTribute is for YOU! The detailed PowerPoint
lesson plans help your students to make a presentation for someone
special.
Make a Tribute to Someone
Special you Know
In this
technology project are detailed PowerPoint
lesson plans that make it easy to
create a “TechnoTribute”. This tribute
includes biographical data, character traits,
accomplishments, and goals of the honoree
arranged attractively on PowerPoint slides.
Conduct an Interview
Ask
questions to learn more about the honoree:
- How do you spend your spare
time?
- What is your favorite color?
- What qualities do you look for
in a friend?
- What two items could you not
live without?
- What is your favorite food?
- What awards, trophies, or
certificates have you earned?
- What advice would you like to
share with others?
Arrange Information on Slides
The detailed PowerPoint lesson
plans in TechnoTribute make it easy for students to arrange the
information on slides. They learn basic PowerPoint skills that make
the presentation look great!
- apply a design
- insert and format clip art
- insert and arrange picture
files
- add word art and format the
appearance
- organize information on slides
- apply transitions between
slides
- animate the objects on slides
Merge Individual Presentations
into One Slideshow
Each student can make his or her own
presentation. The slides can then be combined with classmates
presentations to create ONE SLIDESHOW. Instructions are included for
the teacher to merge individual presentations into one slideshow.
Enjoy the Celebration! Avoid the
Stress!
The inspiration for
this project came from teachers at our research and
development center John Knox Christian School
(JKCS). Each year the grade seven students make a
tribute to the grade eight students, that is shown
to parents at the graduation ceremony. The tribute
includes information and pictures about each student
in the graduating class combined into a multimedia
presentation.
The creation of the presentation
was a daunting task for the grade seven teachers and students, with
much stress each year. Many late nights were inevitably spent by
teachers, polishing the presentation to make it ready for the
audience. TechnoKids Inc. created a project that could
easily be followed by students, making it fun and
easy for them to
prepare a TechnoTribute during computer class.
