In this technology project,
students go on a medieval quest to rescue the king. They learn about
medieval times by participating in Microsoft Office activities that when completed
successfully, prove their worthiness to become a knight.
Become a Page
| Students create a shield
with a coat of arms in Microsoft Word to protect them on
their rescue mission. When it is skillfully completed, they
are granted the status of page.

Become a Squire
Students then set out on their
quest. The journey takes them into the Forest of Mystery. There
they learn how to use a Microsoft Access database to view, add, and filter records.
They use their database skills to search through the woodland creatures to discover who is causing troubles in
the forest. Once students have proved that they are noble, they are
granted the status of squire.

Database skills are taught in a FUN
way! Students use Microsoft Access lesson plans to learn how to:
- view records
- add a record
- filter records
Become a Knight
The final stage of their quest
takes students into the Library of Knowledge, where the king is
locked away. They must research medieval times to find the
information that will save the king. They use the provided Medieval Facts document and other resources to create a slide in
Microsoft PowerPoint about a specific topic.

Create a Quiz in Microsoft
PowerPoint
Students then create a quiz slide
with multiple choice answers about the topic using easy to follow
Microsoft PowerPoint lesson plans.

correct.

Upon completion, the quizzes are
shared with fellow classmates, to test their knowledge of the
historical period. Once students show their wisdom, they are able to
save the king. The king is so grateful that students are granted the
status of knight.

Medieval Times
