The TechnoPhotos
technology project is a "must teach" for educators with a
passion for digital art, love of digital cameras, or desire
to teach photo editing in a fun way.

Pop Art Style:
Digital Art
Students learn
about the pop art style and the work of famous
artists such as Andy Warhol, Robert Indiana, and
Jasper Johns. Using their artwork as a source of
inspiration students digitally edit photos to
produce portraitures, silk-screens, billboards,
and paintings that are a tribute to the pop art
style.
Activities use the FREE photo editing software
PhotoFiltre V6.

Pop Art Poster: Pop
artist, Andy Warhol, took the same picture and changed the
colors to make it look different.
Change the color in a
digital photo to make nine different images that are
combined together to create a poster. |

Pop Art Silkscreen:
Pop artist, Andy Warhol, used to make silkscreens of photos.
He would paint directly on the silkscreen to create a unique
image. Use digital
art tools to paint directly over top of a photo to create a
modern-day silkscreen. |

Pop Culture:
Pop artist looked to popular items for inspiration. They
used to make artwork out of ordinary objects.
Instead of making art out of
popular items, students will BECOME ART made up of popular
objects.
Fill body parts with
favorite items such as sports, hobbies, and television
shows. |

Pop Art Letters: Pop
art artists, Jasper Johns and Robert Indiana, made artwork
from letters and numbers.
Use the text tools to create
digital art out of WORDS. |
