Sample projects for each curriculum category have been posted to our secure downloads area. Complete student workbooks and teacher guides can be viewed or printed. This allows you to gain a thorough understanding of the product and the structure of the materials.

View a sample session from the project TechnoArtist. In TechnoArtist students prepare their own art collection by making six pieces of art. Interwoven into the activities are opportunities to learn about art elements, art history, and types of artistic mediums. TechnoArtist stretches the limits of conventional paint tools, sparking the imagination of young artists. TechnoArtist consists of seven sessions. This particular session, called Pointillism with Pixels, is the third session.

View a sample session from the project TechnoLink. In TechnoLink students become web designers. They construct a web page that includes links to fun places for kids on the World Wide Web. Throughout the design process they pay particular attention to the ease of navigation, overall appearance, and quality of the content. This will ensure that their web page will get the kid stamp of approval. TechnoLink consists of seven sessions. This particular session, called Web Critic, is the first session.

View a sample session from the project TechnoEntrepreneur. In TechnoEntrepreneur students become restaurant owners. As entrepreneurs, their job is to form a business plan and then produce a report to potential investors. Following this students design a blueprint of the restaurant layout and calculate earnings. This information is assembled into a newsletter that promotes the restaurant as a franchise opportunity. This particular session, called Business Survey, is the first session.

View a sample session from the project TechnoVenture. In the TechnoVenture project students become entrepreneurs. They develop a business idea for a store by analyzing the marketplace and trends. After, they produce a detailed business plan that outlines their marketing, financial, and operation strategy. TechnoVenture consists of ten sessions. This particular session, called The Business Plan, is the second session.

View an excerpt from the project TechnoKnight. In TechnoKnight, campers go on a quest to save the kingdom. Campers are lowly serfs who wish to be knights. They begin their quest in hopes that they can become a member of the Order of TechnoCamp by saving the land. Their journey takes them into the Forest of Riddles, sailing on Internet Explorer, and to the castle Onh-Cet. TechnoKnight consists of four sessions referred to as Parts. This excerpt includes Part 1  Forge a Helmet and Shield, and Part 2 In the Forest of Riddles.

View a sample session from the project Introduction to the Internet. In Introduction to the Internet educators acquire introductory knowledge of the Internet, fundamental search skills, and methodology for integrating telecommunication skills into lesson planning. Introduction to the Internet consists of four sessions. This sample is the first session in the project.

The National Education Technology Standards (NETS) outlines standards for students. These standards act as a guide for establishing learning environments supported by technology. Each project in TechnoKids Computer Curriculum has been correlated to NETS.

  • Primary Projects: Grades K-2

  • Junior Projects: Grades 3-5

  • Intermediate Projects: Grades 6-8

  • Senior Projects: Grades 9-12
