Which tribe will be able to out-think their opponents?
In the first challenge, tribes compete to out-think their opponents by correctly answering computer trivia questions.
About the Computer Trivia Challenge
On TechnoIsland, the native inhabitants are computer parts. In this society, each computer part has an important role. Students watch the video "What's Inside the Box?", provided with the resources, to learn about this high-tech culture. A script of the video is included in the Teacher Guide.
Afterwards, students work together with their tribe members to answer computer-related questions in the Computer Trivia Challenge. Questions are categorized according to difficulty level to accommodate a variety of age levels.
The number of points awarded for a correct answer depends on the difficulty level of the question asked. Points are given for each correct answer by awarding the tribe a TechnoSurvivor Card of one, two, or three points. After all questions have been asked, tribes add up the points on the TechnoSurvivor Cards. The tribe with the most points wins.
