Computer Art Lesson Plans

TechnoArt Icon Use the computer art lesson plans to stretch the limits of your students' imagination. Paintings by famous artists are the fuel for igniting the creativity to produce an original art style using the power of technology.

Part 1 Redesigning De Stijl

Have a great time with geometrics! Use the resources provided with TechnoArt, to have your students examine a variety of De Stijl artwork to notice the sensational array of shapes and colors.

As part of the examination, students open artwork into Microsoft Paint. This allows the shapes to be customized to notice how color changes the look of the painting.

Once inspired, students create circles, rectangles, squares, and polygons using the drawing tools in Microsoft Word.
The computer art lesson plans in TechnoArt include an examination of the De Stijl art style.

The artwork will certainly need to be classified as its own style due to its originality. Geometricism, shapazoid, or rectangularism – what name will best describe the work?

Part 2 Recreating Cubism

The computer art lesson plans include instructions for creating artwork in the cubism art style. Ignite the art community by giving them something to talk about! Use the resources provided in TechnoArt, to have your students study the art style Cubism to notice the unusual arrangement of body parts. In cubism the placement of noses, mouths, and eyes give each masterpiece a fun-house cartoon appearance.

Using famous cubist masterpieces as their muse, students distort their own digital photograph to create an unexpected result in Microsoft Paint.

Students coin their own unique art style. Will it be freakism, distortism, or weird-o-rama?

The computer art lesson plans in TechnoArt explain how to create an art gallery using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Detailed instructions explain how to animate the paintings and insert transitions between each slide. Everyone will want to view this magnificent digital art collection!
